NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to racer.com Charles Leclerc will be replacing him at Ferrari.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I am super happy for Leclerc he does seem to have a very bright future in F1, as long as he doesn’t get caught up in any of Vettel’s bullshit and mind games. Hopefully, he can trounce Vettel’s very quickly a relegate him to the #2 driver.

I would have liked to see Leclerc spend a year or 2 at Haas to get some mid-field time, he started the year with a team that wasn’t expected to do much and has exceeded anything anyone could have imagined. But, I think the pressure of being expected to perform is going to be entirely different and I don’t see Vettel doing anything to help him adjust to the pressure.

IMO, I am pretty sure Ferrari realizes Vettel’s isn’t going to win them a world championship and they are looking towards the future.

This is understandable, especially considering the terrible drive Kimi had at Monza last week.

SMH.

If he just finished the season at Sauber it would be better. But per haps this is why his wife and team were so emotional at him getting pole at Monza...

Ya, I mean as soon as he hit Lewis and spun and blamed everyone for it they definitely should have let replaced him.

Ih that’s right, it i sn’t Kimi that consistently makes mistakes under pressure.

I get it though, Kimi is getting older and Leclerc shows Ferrari is thinking towards the future. Keep Seb around and every time Leclerc beats him just tell him don’t worry you’re still the #1 driver. Seb is a good driver, he's just not a World Championship winning driver if he doesn't have an absolutely dominating car and the points lead for the entire season.

He was pissed off when Kimi out-qualified him, and that carried over into the race. That was such a stupid move to try and overtake Kimi on the outside. All it did was leave room for Hamilton. There has never been a better illustration of the old adage, “You can’t win a race on the first lap, but you can certainly lose it.”

Man, I really wouldn’t call that a terrible drive. The Ferrari just chewed through its tires and Ferrari made yet another strategy bungle by pitting him 8 laps before Hamilton (and arguably another in their tire selection for the weekend).

Kimi was the fastest person on track for most of the race weekend, but once he pitted early, which allowed Bottas to back him up into Hamilton, it was over.

He is finishing at Sauber , that head line is weird .

According to the article he is getting announced this week for next season.

Yup, it was so annoying watching him blame it on Lewis, it's like hey guy there's video, everyone saw what happened and everyone knows you messed up, just own up to it.

Well there are always rumors, this one persists though. If they did inform him before Monza It w ould explain why he wasn't part of some plan to let Vettel through. Vettel clearly didn't know of a plan to be second and then eventually play team orders. With team orders they could have controlled their lead. Who knows, maybe Kimi is so popular that they had to let him go race when he got pole.

Of Kimi wouldn’t have got stuck behind Bottas for so long, it would’ve made for a more interesting race toward the end.  Still he drove the hell out of that car with crap tires.  It’s amazing he was able to bring it to the finish with as bad as they got towards the end.  Good battles though between him and Hamilton.

Vettel was on tilt from the end of qualifying through the start of the race.  If he would’ve had his wits about him, he could’ve waited for a more opportune moment for the pass.

It was good to see him not punt Hamilton off when he made the pass too. He could’ve easily given him a bump, but he kept it clean. That was good to see. I wanted to see Kimi win so bad. But it was a good race between those two. And you’re right about the strategy bungle. But hindsight and all.  Tough to armchair QB after the race.

Despite the outcome, it was the most interesting race in quite a while. But you could tell HAM was just biding his time behind RAI, waiting to strike. I don’t know if it’s race day pace or strategy that is killing the Ferraris. But they’ve got to get it figured out. Polls are great, but there aren’t any points in them.

This time around, I think if The bottas factor wouldn’t have happened or Kimi’s Tires were a few laps newer, similar to Hamilton’s, he would’ve won it.  Hamilton’s Tires were getting a work out as well and those 8 laps or so, made a big difference with Kimi’s tires.  But all in all, made for a good race.

Ya, I saw an article this morning and Vandoorne’s manager was implying they have something lined up in F1 for next year.

Not sure how that’s going to work out, the McLaren hasn’t been the best car so it’s hard to get a real representation of his skill, but Alonso  has been beating him quite easily.

Yeah he sees red sometimes, like when he banged wheels with Hammy, that was really dumb.

Yeah, I can’t really blame the guy, I’ve had similar situations myself.  Takes awhile to calm down.  And these guys are under tremendous pressure.
